Join us for one of Europe’s most unique music and city festivals in border city Narva

The music and city culture festival Station Narva, taking place in Narva on

3–6 September 2026, fills Estonia’s easternmost city Narva with music, art, communal gatherings and cross-sector initiatives. The festival will feature British trip-hop legend Tricky, Icelandic electronic music icon GusGus, Finnish electro-pop producer MALLA, homegrown talent SADU and many more.

Yet, the headliner is and will always be the City of Narva itself with its epic views, former industrial glory and warm-hearted citizens.

Narva is one of a kind— a city of genuine cultural gravity. No wonder you may have come across it in the global news on a regular basis. Indeed, Narva is a 96% Russian-speaking Estonian and European town. And the 14th-century Narva Castle, main venue of our festival, is in eternal dialogue with its Russian located twin in Ivangorod, just metres away across the rapid yet narrow River Narva.

But this unique multicultural city in North-East Estonia, perched on the border of the European Union and NATO, is so much more than the geopolitical headlines might suggest. Resplendent with past glory and present-day wit, post-industrial grandness and hidden gems, Narva rewards those who look closer.

Narva is also lush handmade dachas and slow late-summer walks, golden sunsets over “Narva Venice”, long-table dinners and pancake breakfasts made by warm-hearted locals, a curious and smart youth and an edgy arts scene that refuses to be ignored. And of course the 19th century Kreenholm Textile Factory—now home to artist workshops and adventure tours— is a world in itself. Sleepy courtyards pen onto unexpected terraces tucked into former garages, and boat tours reveal hidden corners.

Narva, in short, is full of surprises.

Since 2018, the Station Narva festival has brought renowned international and Estonian performers to Narva, including world-famous names such as Echo and the Bunnymen, Roni Size, A Guy Called Gerald, James Lavelle, Actress, Spiritualized, Ivan Dorn and others, alongside beloved Estonian artists from Tommy Cash to NOËP.

Beyond the music programme, Station Narva hosts cutting-edge art exhibitions, Narva-style community breakfasts, immersive experience tours of the city and its surroundings, public debates on society and culture—and of course legendary afterparties at Art Club Ro-Ro, a true underground club right by the river.

Narva Museum, the main location of the festival, with its smart contemporary exhibition, is open to all Station Narva visitors throughout the festival nights. And trust us—it gives you goosebumps to be immersed in this joyful contemporary mix of European culture, right here on the edge of Europe, within the walls of a 14th-century castle and be grateful for the  freedom and opportunities we share. To experience all of this together with musicians and guests from across Europe, as well as Narva’s own people, old and young, is an act of freedom—and an act of solidarity.

For Icelandic collective GusGus, this is also their second Station Narva performance following 2019. Tastemakers of the scene for a quarter of a century, their high-gloss sound with heart-pumping rhythms and lush melodies blends 80s synth-pop and 90s rave, with echoes of trance, urban soul, and UK garage.

Tricky comes to Narva as part of his European tour introducing new music, marking his second visit to the border town after performing at the inaugural Station Narva in 2018. The Bristol trailblazer remains unmistakable—a shadowy fusion of alternative hip-hop, ragga, and rock. Having started with Massive Attack, Tricky has collaborated with heavyweights including Beyoncé, Yoko Ono, PJ Harvey, and Björk.

boipepperoni excels at producing both dark, experimental club tracks and cheeky party bangers that have dominated the Estonian Spotify top ten. His collaborators include numerous homegrown stars as well as Finland’s house and disco producer MALLA, who also performs at Station Narva—their first joint work, the single ‘open heart’, was released last autumn.

Rising rapidly to become one of Estonia’s most successful acts, SADU blends folk and global music with catchy pop arrangements and sharply resonant messages. At the Estonian Music Awards 2026, the group claimed 5 nominations and 3 awards: Album of the Year, Band of the Year, and Debut Album of the Year.Additionally, the lineup features Narva’s own superstar ALIKA, rising shoegaze stars mariin k., bass music producer and DJ Luurel Varas, DnB master Planeet one of Estonia’s most prolific acts EiK, and the next generation of Estonian punk, Skoone — joined by Latvia’s vegetable-playing performance artist Elizabete Balčus and TMW x Selektor Studio x Telliskivi Loomelinnak award winning storyteller La Fazani from Kosovo.
