Ore Film Event 3: Politics

While neo-traditionalism is emerging in the West, 19th-century political conceptions prominent in 21st-century Lithuania seem rather timely. ORE.lt, however, advocates the values of our parents: sex, decadency, and revolt. In the world we look for anti-establishment and non-conformism and we support the freedom and independence of Lithuania. We invite you to join us and send us the propagandist video designed for your non-official or non-existent political party.

Films for the Ore Film Event 3 have to be: created specifically for this program; of a video format; no longer than 15 minutes. Deadline: June 15. Postal adress: „Vilniaus dailės centras“, Bernardinų 10-6, Vilnius 01013, Lithuania.

Our political views:

1. Retroactive creation of meaning. Meaning can be created/established after filming, in showing the film or later. Authors do not take responsibility for the meaning.

2. Intuition/empathy. Some frogs filmed for an hour are interesting, but others are not. It‘s intuitive. Authors take responsibility for their intuition/empathy [with their aching hearts].

3. Heteronormativity is boring. If a man loves a woman, it’s not because he must, it’s because he simply does. The same goes to other combinations of love.

4.Art is politics. There is no need to be a philosopher to read books, thus there is no need to be a director to make films.
