Skaņu Mežs 2026 Announces Second Wave of Artists
Riga’s experimental music festival Skaņu Mežs 2026 will take place on October 9–10 at Hanzas Perons (16A Hanzas Street). In addition to the previously announced artists, four more acts now expand the program: Norwegian anti-pop duo Smerz, Lithuanian sound artist Augustė Vickunaitė, British experimental electronics producer Ship Sket, and the festival’s “guest of honour” – veteran free jazz saxophonist Joe McPhee with bassist John Edwards and drummer Klaus Kugel.
Gogol Bordello baigė gastroles Amerikoje: kita stotelė – Lietuva
Niujorko grupė „Gogol Bordello“ triumfuodama užbaigė gastroles Šiaurės Amerikoje. 27 koncertų seriją Kanados ir JAV miestuose surengusi grupė turą baigė sausakimšoje „Knockdown Center“ salėje Niujorke vykusiu pasirodymu, į kurį buvo išparduoti visi bilietai. Naują albumą „We Mean It, Man!“ pristatanti grupė jau žvalgosi į Europą, kur gastroles pradės Lietuvoje – liepos 30 d. „Gogol Bordello“ koncertuos sostinės „Vasaros terasoje“.
Figūras to celebrate new tape release with performance at Bolderāja
On April 2, the cultural space Bolderāja (Avotu Street 29) will host the presentation concert of a new cassette by artist Kaspars Groševs’ electronic music project Figūras. The album is titled Selected White Tapes, Vol. 1 and is released in collaboration with Skaņu mežs. The event starts at 21:00. Admission is free.
